News Death Notice
HEEG PENCE, Anna Katherine Katie 90, of Springfield, died July 12, 2010 in Tampa, FL. She was born March 10, 1920 in Koblentz, Germany to Fred and Anna Catherine (Stegers) Kinsler. Katie had owned and operated Kinsler's Café in Springfield until retiring in 1998. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Katie was very proud of her family. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards and lived life to it's fullest. Survivors include her husband William L. Pence, Tampa, FL; a daughter Joann "Tim" Cooney, Naperville, IL; 4 grandchildren, Patrick Cooney, Michael "Courtney" Cooney, Stephen "Kristen" Cooney and Matthew "Lisa" Cooney; seven great grandchildren, Riley Ann, Connor, Nolan, A.J., Carter, Kaitlyn and Charlie. Katie was preceded in death by her first husband, Norvan, a sister Dorothy Kennedy, and an infant sister Mary Elizabeth. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernard Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
