HAMPTONVILLE - Arturo Carrillo Hernandez, 12, of Hamptonville died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Arturo was born Sept. 9, 1990, in Yadkin County to Maria Hernandez and Arturo Carrillo Luna. He was a seventh-grade student at Yadkinville Elementary School. Surviving are his mother and father of the home; a brother, Giovanny Carrillo Hernandez of the home; a sister, Daniela Carrillo Hernandez of Mexico; and his grandparents, Lazano Carrillo, Irma Luna, Gloria Ornela and Armando Hernandez, all of Mexico. The Hernandez family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Aug. 29, at Gentry Family Funeral Home in Yadkinville. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Gentry Family Funeral Home Chapel by Father Fidel Mello. Burial will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Arturo touched my life in many ways as well as the rest of the staff at the daycare...I will always remember his smiles and hundreds of questions...God has a special angel with him now...All my prayers are with you...
