May 30, 1922 - August 28, 2015
It is with sadness that Betty's family announce her peaceful passing on August 28, 2015. Forever by her side was Frank, her husband of 68 years, her 4 children; Sally (Bob), Frances (Rob), Cathie (Rudi), Stewart (Diana), 11 grandchildren, 6 great- grandchildren, her two brothers; Bill and Chuck Wilkinson and her sister Evelyn Thompson. She was predeceased by her stepbrother David DeMuth. Betty served in the Canadian Navy (WRENS), married Frank on December 4, 1946 and they ranched in the Cariboo then resided in Vancouver (1961-1991). Upon retirement they moved to Abbotsford and spent 52 consecutive summers at Farmer's Bullpasture, Green Lake, BC. Betty most enjoyed swimming, golf and reading and will especially be remembered for her loving commitment to family life. A Celebration of Life will be held at the 70 Mile Community Hall on September 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. 100 Mile Funeral Service Ltd. entrusted with the arrangements, 1-877-595-3243. I was so sorry to hear of Betty's passing. I will always remember her as a real character and a force to be reckoned with. There was never a dull moment if she was in the room. She was a special lady and she will be missed. My deepest condolences, Pat (Brown) Kelvin
