Beverly J. Woodman

Beverly J. (Meinz) Woodman, 84, of New Kensington, formerly of Tarentum, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born Nov. 13, 1938, in Natrona Heights, the daughter of the late Anthony and Eldeane M, (Adams) Meinz Sr. Beverly was a 1956 graduate of Tarentum High School. She worked as a school crossing guard for Highlands School District for 25 years. Beverly was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Brackenridge. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Susan (Howie) Bock, of New Kensington; daughter-in-law, Margaret "Pegi" Woodman, of Brackenridge; grandchildren, Jered L. Bock, Melissa L. Bock and Nicolle Renee (Ron) Lang Jr.; and by her great-grandchildren, Natalie Petika, Emily Smith, Hunter Lee Lang (fiancee, Alexis Shoaf) and Trinity Grace Lang. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Woodman, on Oct. 31, 2005; her son, John E. "Woody" Woodman, on Dec. 17, 2022; and by her brother, Anthony "Rusty" Meinz Jr. Friends will be received from 6 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m. Friday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688.
