Deb and family, sad to hear of the loss of your dad. I so enjoyed speaking with him from time to time and hearing his stories of working on the locks and PWD, they were always fun to hear.

I’m a friend of Chuck’s from Pendleton. I knew Marion there also, a lovely couple. I work in the recreation department and know how Chuck loved to keep busy. Always active, always so proud of his accomplishments. What stories he shared about such an incredible life. He left a gap that will never be filled. Condolences to your whole family.

Rest in peace, Chuck. Our paths would have crossed hundreds of times in the 50s and 60s, as I spent most of my waking hours in, on, and around the locks and canal lands. From memory, you were always kind to me even if my exuberance may have been annoying.
