Cheryl Diane Hill

Cheryl D. Bowen Hill was born in Winter Haven, Florida, to T.D. Bowen and Pearl Bowen in 1949. Cheryl had a deep connection to her hometown. She loved sharing stories from her childhood, from walking the railroad tracks in search of shark teeth to swimming and water skiing on the Chain of Lakes. She had fond memories of playing in her father's citrus groves and often recalled smelling the orange blossoms. Her first job was at Cypress Gardens, in the gift shop; she then worked at The exclusive Chalet Suzanne before her father opened the family-owned business "Cheryl's Fruit Palace". Toward the end of her working years, she retired from bookkeeping at Georges Enterprises Inc. to dedicate her time to her husband and grandchildren. Cheryl loved the beach, rock and roll, fast cars, dancing, and sweet tea. She was known for her beautiful smile, sweet disposition, and contagious laughter. She was humble, intelligent, and fashionable.

Cheryl left this world on September 18th at 6:05 pm in the arms of her soulmate and husband of 54 years, Frank B. Hill, and surrounded by loved ones from near and far. She was a beloved friend, wife, and matriarch and will forever be treasured and remembered by those blessed enough to spend time with her.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy D. Hill Ryan, and Tracy D. Hill; her sister, Debbie B. Sowards; her godson, Chase Bilbrey; her grandchildren, Zackary R. Hill, Tabitha D. Ryan, Hailey D. Hill Tanner, and Samantha A. Ryan; Her great-grandchildren Leilani R.Tanner, Elliott S. Stripe, Harlow E. Hill, Oliver W. Hill, and Saturn C. Stripe; and many other friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to The Red Cloud Indian School or Polk County Sheriff's Office even though Cheryl had many agencies she donated to these were two of her favorites.
