Eileen IWANIUK Obituary
June 4, 1944 – October 27, 2017
Eileen Iwaniuk of Edmonton passed away at the age of 73 years with family by her side.
Eileen is survived by so many who loved her dearly; her husband of 53 years, Victor; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Barbara Iwaniuk and their children, Elise, Lara and Natalie; grandchildren, Alex, Natasha and Stephanie, as well as many relatives and friends. Eileen was predeceased by her son, Keith; sisters, Mary and Rose; brother, Bill; and parents, Dan and Mary Bilida.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone on Unit 18 of the Sturgeon Community Hospital who provided such compassionate care and gentle support to Eileen and her family during her short stay.
A Celebration of Eileen's Life will be held Sunday, November 5 at 12:00 noon at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. Cremation has taken place with inurnment at a later date. In lieu of floral tributes or if friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.

I am so saddened to hear of Eileen's passing. I will treasure many beautiful memories working with her at Queen Elizabeth High School. Such a loving, caring, wonderful friend. My deepest sympathy and to Eileen - I love you and rest in peace.

Our deepest sympathy in the loss of one so dear. We are so saddened to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this most difficult time. Eileen was a wonderful and beautiful person. Many wonderful memories of her from our many years of working together and our many long phone chats. Always warm, friendly and always spoke very highly of you Vic, Richard, Barb and the grandchildren. Her kindness and loving ways will leave a wonderful legacy of memories to who knew her. I knew Eileen through Keith as Keith and I were good friends from 1976 to 1982 at Rossyln and Queen E schools. Eileen was a secretary at Queen E and was a great advocate to have in the school's office. She was also a huge band supporter for us and I will never forget all that she did over the years, especially since she was a wonderful mom and friend to everyone. She did a great job raising Keith and now the two are reunited in heaven. My condolences to all.

My condolences to Vic and the Iwaniuk family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Eileen took me under her wing when we worked at Killarney school together and had remained friends ever since. She was such a loving lady and will be missed greatly. Be at peace my friend until we meet again.
