Jack Crilley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Aug. 11 to Aug. 12, 2023.
Jack Dern Crilley Sr, age 86, late of Clarkton, NC, formerly of Chicago, IL and Cedar Lake, IN passed away peacefully on November 12, 2019. Loving father of six children, Jack Jr (Susan) Crilley, Robert Crilley and Jill Crilley. Caring grandfather of five and great grandfather of two. Fond brother of three siblings, Mary (late Ken) Peters, late James (Joan) Crilley and late Raymond Jr (Arlene) Crilley. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his loving parents, Raymond Sr and Margaret Crilley. Korean Conflict US Army Veteran. Former employee of Republic Steel, Chicago IL, as a boilermaker. Eclectic flea market dealer known as Packrat Jack. "A packrat is a desert animal that collects things, brings them to his nest, and when it gets too full, he leaves. So he takes, but always leaves something in exchange. A collector just doesn't give stuff up. Stuff is kind of a security blanket for me. I suspect it is for everyone."
