My Uncle Jim was ever a gracious, affable gentleman. He was a field-grade officer, and an expert in combat camouflage, His military service, as well as that of my father, his brother, my mother and her brothers, served as an inspiration to those who came after them.

Uncle Jim was a member of the Greatest Generation, and a man I admired and respected. He made a point to become part of the life of my family in Central Texas. From one Veteran to another, sir, thank you for your service.

Dear Morgans,
I was sorry to learn of your father's death. I will always remember him and I still have his sketch of "Maryanne's Last Tear".

Jim Morgan was quite a guy! We enjoyed being neighbors of Mary and Jim in Key Biscayne for many years. We still treasure his watercolors and so many wonderful memories. Our condolences to all of the family and sincere congratulations to Jim on a life well-lived.

I knew Uncle Jim as a kind and gentle man.
We enjoyed his beautiful watercolor postcards that he would send to our daughter Madison Ann.Those horse paintings would always trigger a wide eyed grin.
Thanks Uncle Jim for being so thoughtful. Your accomplishments in life were amazing.
From the Morgans
in Georgia,we salute you.
With love and respect,

To the family of Uncle Jim, your parents were most gracious when we visited them in Keller. He always had a smile and both made us feel so welcome. He has left a beautiful legacy of art and what an honor to be laid to rest at Arlington. He was a proud veteran. Our condolences and all of love to all of you. Your parents were kind and always willing to come out of their way to see us in Port Arthur. Great people and will be missed. We have all of the little postcards that he mailed through the years and Mary's laugh was wonderful to hear. With love, Sherry and Henry Morgan in Port Arthur, Tx P.S. When our grandson was 7 he asked us if the postcards framed on the wall were Picassos. Uncle Jim would have enjoyed that remark.

Mr. Morgan was a fine man and a fantastic husband. I often told him that he had set the bar very high for all the other husbands of the world. I had the opportunity to get to know him as one of many C.A.R.S. volunteer drivers who transported him to visit his beloved Mary. Unfortunately, it was not until I attended Mary's service did I truly appreciate what a vibrant and bold life she had lived.

I am truly sorry for the family's loss yet find some comfort knowing they are together again. I believe they shared something truly special.

My experience with Uncle Jim was distant. When he came to Austin to celebrate Doug's marriage with Sunshine, we were surprised and pleased. He was and is a gracious and gentle man. We wish him well on his continuing journey.
