To My Cousins...The Carrolls East (as my Dad would say):

There are not enough words that could adequately express the sadness of you all losing your Dad and Papa. Please know how very sorry that I am (we are,the Carrolls West) for the loss of your Dad, your Papa.

While we talked off & on and I sent cards to keep in touch, I felt a sense of security and family knowing he was there. I felt he was an extension of my Dad (his brother, who passed 15 years ago). My Uncle Jack was my last direct connection to my Dad... The last male Carroll of their generation. And, I can't believe he is gone...gone too young.

I remember when he and Aunt Jan would come to visit us in California and the great times we had. I can still hear him and my Dad laughing...two brothers that truly loved each other. And, I can still hear Aunt Jan calling me "Den".

Uncle Jack referred to my Dad, as "Sweet William" and so too, have we lost "Sweet Jack".

I hope that we can all find some comfort in knowing that Uncle Jack is now with Aunt Jan(who he loved so very much), my Dad (his beloved brother), Grandpa & Grandma Carroll and all the other relatives that have passed.

I will always deeply miss Uncle Jack, Aunt Jan and my Dad. Three people who truly blessed my life and left this worldly life much too early.

And, I will be forever grateful that I saw Uncle Jack in July 2007. Soooo....grateful that he was part of my life and a person that I was very proud to call...My Uncle.

Love you.....Uncle Jack, always.

Denise

Dear Linda, Lisa and Laurie, I was so sorry to read in the Lowell Sun of your father's death. I have some very fond memories of your family. I think often of Jeannette and still tell some of the funny "Jeannette stories". I am leaving tomorrow morning for a weekend in Maine and therefore will be unable to attend the wake or funeral. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love, Amy Connell
