A memory came up today from 11 years ago. I had Prof. Zito in the late 1970's and I had written her a letter saying what a great teacher she was. She tracked me down and called me to thank me for making her day which in turn made my day. Such a great lady.

Maria was a wonderful person. We came in to FSC together, in 1974, although she'd been adjunctive there awhile. She was a constant to me: warm, friendly, protective, fun. She was a guide for me in every way, as a colleague, as a mother, as a daughter to my mother. I've been thinking about her, went looking to call her for our yearly 2 hour catch-up calls, then learned of her passing. I miss her already, so glad I was blessed to have known her. Always she was a friend.
Much love, Marti, Phil, Ari & Celia

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Your mom was definitely a one of a kind lady. It was wonderful to see her in action at Niki and Dave´s wedding.

Aunt Pam,
Your mother was the sweetest woman, I fondly remember her through the years of all the birthday parties and family gatherings. Her legacy will indelibly live on in her abundantly successful children and grandchildren, as she was a wonderful example. God bless your family through this loss. We love you and are here for you all.
All our love,
Kristen, Tom, & TJ Nebgen

I m so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a very talented and bright woman, and I´m so happy I had the chance to meet her. She really made incredible strides as a woman in her fields, particularly in the time she was working, never mind going to school! Thoughts and prayers to you and yours .
