Marjorie Palmer Snedaker, 94, beloved wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend passed away October, 24, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Marjorie was born August 21, 1917 in Plain City, Utah the youngest of five children to George Arthur Palmer and Mary Catherine Knight Palmer. Her siblings Eunice Blanche, Lyle Palmer and Mable Harrison preceded her in death. She is survived by Kathryn Gibson of Logan, Utah.
Marjorie grew up in Plain City and graduated from Weber High School in 1935. She went on to study at Utah State Agricultural College where she joined Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. A year later, Marjorie attended Brigham Young University where she met the love of her life Donald L. Snedaker. They were later married in the Logan Temple on July 8, 1941.
Marjorie and Donald lived for 22 years in Southern California and then retired to Logan, Utah where they made their home for 29 years.
Majorie loved children and raised her three daughters, Jeanne, Carole, and Nancy with care and devotion. She was an active and life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a Relief Society President, primary teacher, Gleaner leader, and temple worker. She was an exceptional Stake Missionary. She loved politics and was active in the California Republican Party. She enjoyed antiques and old homes and kept her own home immaculate. She loved best of all, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald L. Snedaker and grandson Joshua Eisenberg and great grandson Jeffrey R. Call Jr. She is survived by her daughters Jeanne (Charles) Bennett, Salt Lake City; Carole May, Hot Springs, Montana; and Nancy Snedaker, Tuckahoe, NY; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Oct 29, 2011, in the Logan 1st Ward Chapel, 89 S. 200 West, Logan. Friends and family may call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 to 11:45. Burial will be in the Logan Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net

I am sorry for your loss. Jeanne, you mother was someone that I looked forward to seeing every Sunday. She was so loving and kind to me. She was a great example to all.
