To Takanashi Family,
I am deeply saddened by passing of Mas. He introduced me to Bonsai back many years ago when I was at Japanese Family Center at Oceanview UCC. He taught Bonsai class there for intereste new comers and introduced us to the art. He was always generous with his time and shared with us his vast knowledge of the art and opened our eyes to this ancient art and appericiation of Bonsai. I felt enriched by his teaching and having had time to get to know him. I am grateful that I have my Japanese garden he created for me to remember him.

To the Takanashi Family:
My condolences to the family for your loss of this very special person who shared his knowledge and love of plants and rocks and painting with many people over the years. My life was certainly enriched for having known him.

To the Takanashi Family:
We share with you in your grief , we lost our San Diego Bonsai Club Founder, Sensei, and Dear Friend. Mas will be missed. We will feel his sprite at all our meeting and at our Bonsai shows and at the San Diego Wild Animal Park. Mas was always the first instep in and help, to teach to guide us on the right path. We are so blessed that we spent so many wonderful times with mas, either working on Bonsai, rock collecting trip, or at Sumie painting class.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Takanashi Family--
I was saddened to hear recently of Mas' passing. The last time I spoke with him was a year ago at the Buddhist Temple where he was once again helping us at the Japanese Cultural Bazaar by displaying and talking about his bonsai, stone collections and those charming screen paintings. He was a pleasant and generous person and we always appreciated and enjoyed his participation and contributions.
Since I'm usually somehow involved with the Bazaar, I've had several occasions to speak with him there. He was so knowledgable about his art and obviously happy that people liked his work, but not at all a showboat. I am grateful to have known him and will truly miss him.
You have my deepest condolences.
