Mildred Chisser

Mildred "Millie" Chisser, age 82, of Hayward, WI died Saturday, July 30, at her home.

Mildred M. Lehecka was born June 23, 1929 in Cicero, IL the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Rendla) Lehecka. Millie was raised in Cicero and graduated from high school there. She went to work with Western Electric as a Payroll Manager and continued with the company as it transitioned into AT&T. In February of 1980 Millie retired and moved to Hayward, WI where she had been visiting for several years and had a cabin on Grindstone Lake. On October 28, 1989 Millie was joined in marriage to Harry J. Chisser in Hayward. Millie and Harry enjoyed fishing, traveling, and being the official Grandparents of the Hayward boys and girls basketball teams. Millie was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward and would work as a volunteer for the church and the local area nursing homes. Millie put others first and was always there to give a helping hand.

Millie is survived by her husband of 21 years, Harry; two step sons, Tim Chisser and John Prosen of Palm Desert, CA; one step daughter in law, Paula Chisser (Mark Helander) of Hayward, WI; one grandson, Jonathan Chisser of Hayward, WI;

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, George Johnson; brother, Clarence Lehecka; and step son, Cary Chisser.

A Funeral Mass for Millie will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
