Myrtle Ann Hargett

On March 27, 2017, Myrtle A. Hargett, 87, passed away at Genesis Health Care Severna Park Center. Myrtle was born on November 25, 1929, to the late Myrtle and Ben Palechek in Baltimore. Myrtle was a dedicated employee at Westinghouse for 25 years in the purchasing department. Myrtle enjoyed shopping, day trips, having her hair done every week, and family gatherings. Myrtle was predeceased by her devoted husband of 67 years, Calvin "Hawk" Hargett, Sr. She is survived by her beloved sons, Calvin L. Hargett Jr. and his wife Trudy, and John R. Hargett; her loving grandsons, Thomas D. Hargett, Brian C. Hargett (Lisa), and Kurtis M. Hargett (Kristen); her cherished great-grandchildren, Abbey S. Hargett, Elena L. Hargett, and Daniel P. Hargett; and her dear brother, Robert Palechek (Carol). The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie on Sunday, April 2nd, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, April 3rd, at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel.
