Peter Brooksbank Obituary
Peter is lovingly remembered by his wife Patricia; his son Paul (wife Catherine) and daughter Nikki (husband Elvis); his grandchildren Julia (4), Ella (3), Alex (1), and Mila (4 months); his brothers and sisters-in-law (David & Tricia and John & Irene); his nieces Andrea & Ashley and Lisa & Sarah; his previous wife Joan, the mother of Paul and Nikki; his Maremma sheepdogs, Nico and Tessa; and many friends too numerous to mention.
Peter was predeceased by his mother Irene (1987) and father Allan (2010), and by his beloved dogs Sam, Caesar, and Wylie.
Peter's funeral service was held at St. Edmund's Church, North Vancouver, at 11 am on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, and was followed by a celebration of his life at his next-door neighbour's garden, Gary & Margaret Herman. The service and celebration were attended by much of the family, as well as by many dear friends and neighbours.
If desired, donations may be made in Peter's name to any of the following three organizations: heart health and research (e.g. Heart & Stroke Foundation), liver health and research (e.g. Canadian Liver Foundation or Transplant Association), or animal welfare (BCSPCA or any animal welfare organization of your choice).

I am so sorry to hear that Peter has passed. Doug and I were neighbours in Burritt's Rapids and we were just talking about Peter and I decided to google his name and came upon his obituary. Doug and I now live in Cambridge but we remember with a great deal of fondness having Peter as a neighbour.

So sorry to hear about Peter. My late husband Clive was a close friend when they lived close by in Blackpool before Peter left for canada.
I remember very well the day Paul and Nikki with their Mum and Dad visited us in Blackpool when they were in the UK. We, that is Clive myself and our 2 young sons had an afternoon on Blackpool's famous Pleasure Beach. It would be nice to think that Peter and Clive have had a reunion in that great after life in the heavens. I have only recently heard this sad news- my thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Dear Paul and Nikki
So sorry to read the sad news of Peter. He was a good friend and neighbour of mine when we were teenagers at St Joseph's College in Blackpool, England. I will always remember his lovely sense of humour...we had some great laughs together. My sincere condolences to you and your families

My sympathy to all Peters family at their loss.We were friends in the early sixties when we rode together on our motorbikes to various coffee bars around Blackpool.A smashing lad and friend,again my deep sympathy for you all,Denis Hodgkins
