Ruth Connors Obituary
April 17, 1922 – June 19, 2020
Ruth Connors, 98, of Venice, FL passed away Friday, June 19, 2020 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Ruth was born in Allentown, PA. She moved to Venice, FL from Pennsylvania with the love of her life, Joseph Connors. They enjoyed traveling together, visiting all 50 states and Europe.
Ruth had a large extended family, 2 stepsons, 6 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren residing in Pennsylvania, whom she enjoyed keeping in touch with.
Ruth was very active and enjoyed meeting friends for coffee in the morning or going out for lunch or dinner. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She had a competitive spirit and loved to play card games and dominoes.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph E Connors in 2000, and her son Frank R DeFiore in 2015. Ruth is survived by one loving daughter, Donna K DeFiore of Venice, FL.
A small graveside service will be held Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice.

I will miss your mom. She was like a 2nd mom to me' I enjoyed our time together when I came to Fl. The three of us have a lot of memories ,road trips,shopping and eating out and playing games.I remember when she and I went to Venice Ave shopped and had lunch and cocktails while Donna was at work.She always was dressed spiffy. Love you Donna and my 2nd mom
