SETH ELFENBEIN Obituary
Age 61, beloved son of the late Josef and Esther Elfenbein, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Oneonta, NY, Seth had moved to Pittsburgh to be closer to his late sister, Saralouise Reis and enjoyed many good friendships there amongst the residents and staff of Schenley Gardens. Seth was preceded in death by his parents, Josef and Esther Elfenbein, and his sisters, Jill L. Elfenbein and Saralouise Reis. He is survived by his siblings, Adam D. Elfenbein (Arlington, VA) and Lisa K. Elfenbein (Albany, NY); his nephews, Ezra Reis (Sonja), Ari Reis and Efrem Reis (Lauren); and several grandnieces and nephews.

I was a classmate of Seth's in Bugbee School, and we Bugbee Brats stay together. Seth always wore a smile and told corny jokes as I recall. Sorry for your loss. Bonnie Bresee Lado

I met Seth many years ago at Schenley Gardens. We come once a month with 2 cats and 2 dogs for our pet therapy visits. Seth was always the first one there. If we were missing one of our regulars, Seth would round them up. We always said he ran that place. He introduced new residents, and caught us up with others. It was a few years ago that I found out that we were related. My niece married his nephew.
Seth, you will truly be missed. Pet therapy just won't be the same without you. I know the Rabbi will give you a beautiful eulogy.

When Seth lived in Oneonta...it always brightened my day to encounter him on Main St. We always enjoyed supporting his efforts with MD. A light of cheer seemed to follow him.

I was shocked and sadden to hear of Seth's passing. He was friendly and helpful to many, and an avid participant in our activities. We will miss him at our weekly Bingo games. My deepest sympathy to his family. Rest easy.
