Some people are never forgotten no matter how long they've been gone. Theodore Draper is one of those people. When I think back of growing up with Rita and Ted, my memories are all fond ones. Ms. Othel treated me like I was another daughter, always with a smile and cheery words. Forgetting the Drapers?..Impossible! Love, Evelyn Carswell

"GONE; BUT, NOT FORGOTTEN!"....

Believing GOD keeps all HIS "Promises For Everlasting Life"; with heavy hearts, we joyfully give Our LORD & SAVIOR all the Glory, Gratitude, Thanks & Praise in Faith that our Beloved "Brown Family" member, "Ted" Rests In Eternal Peace & Comfort 'Seated At The Right-Hand Side Of The Father, Almighty In Heaven'.
Cuz, I deeply regret we did not take that ATL road trip we were planning to see fam. I've learned a hard lesson....NEVER procrastinate or put off life's dreams cause tomorrow is NOT promised!!! But; I'll always remember the fun luving times over the years, the youthful summer sleepover vacations in Springfield, our bonding times @ reunions & in the hotel rooms w/u Rita & Davy & just hanging out cutting a rug on the dance floor. "Ted", ....my heart is soooo heavy. I'll ALWAYS Luv u cause you were not just my cuz; but, my luving male friend who ALWAYS took time out to call & chat w/me. I recall our last conversation lasted over an hour & it was deep! Thank you for being my friend. I will truly miss u, dearly, my precious.
Amen & Amen.

I sincerely share in the grief that my beloved family is feeling over the departure of Ted from this physical life as we know it.

However, I do know for sure that he has only moved from one existence to another.

Ted, and I both agreed that we were more like brothers than cousins, so his leaving is very difficult to comprehend.

I will never let go of our cherished times together. Yes, like brothers, we laughed together, argued together, played together, fought together, shared secrets, and always expressed our brotherly love toward one another in actions, words, and deeds.

With you goes a part of me, and with me remains a part of you.

Although grieved by you leaving, I will rejoice in your transition into a place of peace and tranquility.

Thanks for being my cousin, and my brother. But most of all thanks for being my friend.

To Ms. West, Rita, and all the Family. I was deeply grieved to hear of Theodore's passing. I've known you all for a lifetime, and feel you're my family. My mind takes me to a place of precious memories of growing up on Capital Ave., attending Lincoln School, Washington Jr. High, and Southeast H.S. When grief struck the Draper & Little Family, it struck us all. Please know that you are being remembered by all of us who know and love you. Take heart, and look to God for comfort. "Farewell, Dear, 'Mr. Cool' Theodore. Be at peace and rest."

My sincere condolences go out to our family and friends in this time of sorrow.

Theodore's pain is gone and he's now with our Lord. His light shines down on us brightening our thoughts with loving memories.

I will miss him my dear cousin. My conversations with him were always insightful, reflective; filled with humor and love of Family.

Butch is there, along with the rest of our loved ones who have left us. His coming home to our Lord, made better by family and dear friends who are there to welcome him.

I take comfort and solace in that.

To my own family, since I am so far away, I give you all my sincere Condolences. Theodore was my first cousin all my life. We grew up together, lived side by side on Capital street. My cousin was always a sweet person and always had a smile. It's hard to be so far away when family passes away and you can't be there to say your goodbye. But it's even harder when you are far away and you have no family with you to comfort you. You feel bad that you can't be there to comfort the rest of your family. But God ! See you through the sad times and your heart and spirit are with your family in Spfld. I will miss you my sweet cousin. Say hello to mother and dad for me, now you are with your aunt Mattie as you wanted to be. My sincere prayer goes out to my family, stay strong in the Lord all of you. God Bless you all. Goodbye my sweet cousin, I will see you again some day.

Theodore my brother you were always on my mind so I called you on the phone one day to talk and share some time. You said that you were weary and wanted to go home. I didn't understand until I got the phone call, that angels were at your bedside with Jesus standing near. Your mansion was made ready and you smiled and disappeared. Love Always Nita

To my best friend Prudence and the Family of Ted Draper: I am so sorry for your loss. I've known Ted for many years. What I will always remember is the big smile he greeted me with every time he saw me and his sense of humor. I wish I could be there, but know I'm with you in spirit. May GOD bless you and give you strength to endure. Love you....

Relations forged during very special times in our lives are never broken. They remain strong and loving, reflecting good and faithful times shared by those whom God has made instant friends for His own purposes. The memory of Ted and the happy times we spent together is a gift that I will treasure forever.
