ANSPAUGH, VONDA JEAN - 65, of Jackson, passed away at Allegiance Hospice Home on Saturday, October 3, 2009. She was the daughter of Nina and Elden Anspaugh, born August 9, 1944 in El Paso, TX. She is survived by her true friend, Larry Southwell; eight stepchildren, Sherry (Randy) Logan, James Southwell, Dawn (Matthew) Tuttle, Tammy (Brian) Ward, Laurie (Stephen) Brunk, Anthony (April) Southwell, Jenny (John) Colburn, and Daniel Sutton; stepbrother, Michael Nastally; many stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; special Star Trek friend, Karen Hatfield. Vonda was a graduate of Camden Frontier High School, and attended Spring Arbor University for a year. Vonda retired from Clark Equipment Company. She was a Priest in the Order of the Melchizadek, member of the Prayer Ministry, and Past President of Women's Life Insurance Society. She studied Unity, Reiki, metaphysics, and natural health. Vonda enjoyed nature's beauty, music, volunteer service, Star Trek, reading, crocheting, animals, TV, and most of all her many friends. She was a friend to all and will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Hospital, Chelsea Hospital, Allegiance Hospice Home, Dr. Mark Leventer, and Dr. Kathleen Anzicek for their tender loving care. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at the UNITY CHURCH OF JACKSON, 3385 Miles Rd., Jackson, Friday, October 9, at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Richard Ammons officiating. Inurnment in Woodbridge Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions for those who wish may be made to Unity Church or Health 1 Clinic, 7201 West Saginaw Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917.

Vonda was a very special person and I was blessed to have known her. Vonda always greeted you with a smile and a laugh and she had such a positive light about her. She will be missed.

Vonda was truly one who was touched by angels - her smile and laugh were infectious, her faith unshakable. I am so lucky to have had her a as friend.

You are a true source of light that is now shining from a much higher place. Could that rumble of thunder I hear be you and dad cutting up....of course it is! My family loves you deeply and as we spoke recently I well know you still shine brightly. Larry, we miss, love, reflect, cry, and even laugh with you. She is with Him, He is with us, we are all still together.

Vonda, you have touched so many lives, your smile would light the darkess room, your laughter would fill the sadess heart. Those who new you loved you, those who did not know you missed so much. Our lives were better for knowing you, our hearts are breaking from losing you.
Angels are rejoycing as you walk through the Gates of Heaven, while those left behind rejoyce just to know you are now at peace, without pain and enjoying your new life.

God's newest angel...sweet, loving, caring Vonda. A kind and gentle soul with one of the biggest hearts and smiles on earth...a beautiful friend. You will be missed by so many, but noone whose life you touched will ever forget you.
