William Joseph

William Joseph, 88, of Valdosta, died on Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Langdale Hospice House. Born in Valdosta on March 7, 1921, he was the son of the late Carlo H. and Nora Eyoup Joseph. He graduated from Valdosta High School where he played football for the Valdosta Wildcats. Mr. Joseph was a United States Air Force veteran of WWII. He owned and operated Joseph Foodservice for 27 years. He was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Joseph was an avid fisherman. Survivors are his wife, Ann LaHood Joseph of Valdosta; daughters and sons-in-law, Janice Worn, Linda and Bill Rowe of Valdosta; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Janice Joseph of Charlotte, North Carolina, Bobby and Terri Joseph, Paul and Judith Joseph of Valdosta; 10 grandchildren, William Joseph, Jaime Joseph, Kimberly and Wesley Langdale, Stephanie and Steve Watts, Jeff Worn, Jennifer Rowe, Jessi Joseph, Cortni Joseph, Stewart Joseph, Wesley Joseph; two great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Carlo and Sadie Joseph of Birmingham, Alabama; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Gonza LaHood of Valdosta; sister-in-law, Theresa Joseph of Jacksonville, Florida. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Joseph. There will be a Rosary at 6 p.m. at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, May 29, 2009, with visitation following the rosary. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church on Saturday, May 30, 2009. Father Fred Nijem and Father Dan O'Connell will officiate.
