My name is Charles Melsoni, a very old friend of Pert, we lived in a very small community called Eddings Town Alabama & went to school together in Marvel Alabama. The last time I heard from Pert was around the summer of 1996, I had just moved to Hot Spring Village, Arkansas, & he told me that he had gotten my phone # from my Sister Barbara. We talked for a few minutes & we said we should stay in contact. I never heard from him after that, until I went on Google & found his name on this site. Was saddened to learn of Pert's death in the Shelby County Reporter on Thanksgiving Day. Many fond memories I have of Pert during our high school years. He was a good friend and my sympathy to Sis and family and other Johnson family members.
