My uncle Chuck was great man with a kind spirit, gentle soul and a deadpan dry sense of humor that was guaranteed to make you laugh. I looked forward to the Prange family visiting southern California every other year in the 60's and early 70's. The best parts were our trips to the beach, Disneyland and just hanging out at the grandparents' house with Uncle Chuck and family. In 1974, my sister and I made our first trip to Ohio. Uncle Chuck and Aunt Jo were fantastic and gracious hosts. Uncle Chuck allowed me to drive his tractor with mowing attachment around his homestead mowing the lawn. Unfortunately, I sort of manicured a couple of small trees in the process. Oops. Always the epitome of calm and patience, my uncle Chuck took this turn of events in stride. He will be missed but his legacy and impact on my life will always live on in my memories. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Prange family at this time and all the times to follow. God bless.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Charlie, your husband, father, grandfather and our friend . My late husband, Ron Lloyd, spent many fishing trips with Charlie, Doc Heidt and others, so I felt I knew them, through the many stories told. Please keep the fond memories, and may they comfort you through the time to come. Monetta Bushong Lloyd (Herb's) sister.
