ELIZABETH BRUGGER Obituary

Stormville - Elizabeth Brugger, 64, Betty to her friends, died Thursday, August 30, 2001 at home. Ms. Brugger was born in Forfar, Scotland on May 28, 1937, the eldest daughter of William and Jesse Dakers. She worked for American Ultramar as a telex operator for many years before semi-retiring in the mid 1990's. She was active with the Columbiettes, Carmel, NY and enjoyed bingo, Atlantic City and life in general. Her brief battle with cancer was an inspiration of courage and hope to all. Survivors include her daughter, Dawne Lucchese of Stormville; her grandchildren, Lauren and Tony Lucchese of Stormville; her sister, Evelyn Murray and her husband, David of New York City; and her brother, Stuart Dakers and his wife, Christina of Forfar, Scotland. She was predeceased by her brothers, James and Bill Dakers and her sister, Glenda Bell. In accordance with Betty's wishes, her ashes will be scattered in her homeland of Scotland. As there will be no services here, friends and loved ones may make a donation in her name to the American Cancer Society, 45 Reade Place, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Arrangements under the direction of McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., Route 82 Hopewell Jct.
