Nicola Saladino Obituary
Verplanck - Nicola "Nick" Saladino of Verplanck died on February 17, 2018. He was 79 years old. Nick was born in Rome, Italy to Domenico and Rosa Saladino. He was a self-employed painting contractor. Nick loved his family, spending time in Florida, movies, animals and the Yankees. He was a member of Our Lady Mt. Carmel in Verplanck. He is survived by his wife Marge, his children, Laurie (Steve) Fonseca, Dominick, Michael (Jenn), Thomas (Elissa), grandchildren, Alex, Mikayla, Ryan, Nicholas and Gianna, sisters, Graziella "Grace" Vasta, Domenica "Mimi" Settembre and Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Rosario. Reposing (Today) 5-9 PM at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, 414 Washington Street, Peekskill, NY 10566. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday at St. Patrick's Church in Verplanck. Interment will follow at the St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the ASPCA.

Marge and family. Carey and I can't express enough how deeply sorry we are for Nick's passing. We became such great friends over the last several years and have such great memories of many laughs and stories on the beach! We will truly miss him.
