Arthur Simoneau Obituary

LOWELL - Arthur O. Simoneau, 57, a lifelong resident of the Pawtucketville section, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 15, at Saints' Memorial Medical Center. He was the husband of Karen J. (Jurewich) Simoneau.

Born in Lowell on Nov. 10, 1946, he was a son of the late George and Claire (Lozeau) Simoneau. He was educated in Lowell schools.

Mr. Simoneau worked as an assistant operations manager at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell and for Allied Security at Krafts Foods in Woburn. Formerly he owned and operated the former A's Auto Cool of Lowell for more than 20 years.

He was a communicant of Ste. Jeanne d'Arc, where he was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the former CYO of Ste. Jean d'Arc, and a former Boy Scout master. He volunteered for the parish's bingo and also at Central Catholic High School in Lawrence.

He was active in the PYO Little League, having served as past president, commissioner, treasurer, coach and assistant coach.

In addition to his wife, his survivors include two sons, Brian J. Simoneau and his fiancee, Tregony Bucknell-Pogue, of Palo Alto, Calif., and Scott S. Simoneau of Glen, N.H.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Maureen Simoneau of Wolfboro, N.H., and Jean-Marc and Diane Simoneau of Antwerp, Belgium; and several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
