Johannesburg - Tim Jeffrey Caine, 66 was called home by his Lord and Savior, at his home, unexpectedly, on Sunday, September 2, 2018. Tim was a master carpenter and builder; whose creations were always exquisite and professional. He delighted in helping others and held several leadership positions in the churches of his choice along the way. Tim was very artistic and talented both graphically and musically, and he loved to play and sing making joyful noises to the Lord whenever possible. He loved the outdoors, saying he always felt closer to God there. He had a lightning quick but never hurtful sense of humor that he often used to assuage the pain, suffering, or social discomfort of others. Tim is survived by the love of his life, Cindy (Kowalczyk) Caine, brother Bob Caine, and sister-in-law Jane Caine. Very special in his and Cindy's world are two young people, brother and sister Jesse and Obada, who immigrated to America from Nigeria and served as a sort of surrogate family for Tim and Cindy from their childhood through their college and young adult years. His dogs and vast collection of exotic birds always brought him great joy as well. A private family memorial service was held to celebrate Tim's life.
