I loved my Uncle Joe and memories of him making me laugh and of his great kindness towards me when I was a child will always be important to me. He was a gentle and decent man who honored the memory of his dear parents by his goodness and his pure spirit. My mother, Elsie, was one of his big sisters and she told stories of him and all of her little sisters and brothers that I will always remember. Her little brother Joe meant so much to her. I believe that Grandma Sadie and Grandpa Jose are in heaven and waited to embrace him when he passed. I can picture him smiling at them with his ornery little grin. I will pray for his dear wife Marietta. I cannot imagine the pain of her great loss. God's blessings to his entire family.
