Dear Appel Family,
I was so sorry to hear that your mom, grandma passed away. She was a dear friend to my mother Audrey Steitz as well as my family, The Chos and my sister's family the Gallimores.
Both at Luther Memorial in Tinton Falls as well as at their home, your mom and dad were treasured friends.
Mrs. Appel was always there with words of wisdom, encouragement, and acceptance.
My children loved going to the Christmas Concerts at Fort Monmouth with her as well as the goodies we had at her home afterwards.
I have fond memories of our visits together and especially her sense of humor.
Please know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

For the Millers growing up in Tonawanda, the Appels were family, and "Aunt" Gloria a constant source of hugs, advice, and baked goods. Her life is a testament to the power of faith and love to heal and the ability of one heart to take in all those around her.
