Ronald Bednar Obituary

Bednar, Ronald B.Ronald B. Bednar, 73, of East Allen Twp., passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Blough Health Care Center in Bethlehem. He was the husband of Beatrice M. (Hinkle) Bednar. They were married 25 years in July. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late John and Erma (Stull) Bednar. Ron was a graduate of Liberty High School and attended Rutgers University. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during the Vietnam Era. Ron worked as an inspector for Bethlehem Steel for 32 years before retiring in 1996. He was an Eagle Scout and a former Boy Scout Leader in Miller Heights. He enjoyed antiquing, with his wife. Survivors: in addition to his wife, Beatrice are his sons, Francoise Bednar of upstate NY, Jon Bednar and his wife Carmie of Salt Lake City, UT, Ronald Bednar and his wife Lisa of Lakeville, PA, Kevin Bednar and his wife Jennifer of Honesdale, John Gross and his wife Lisa of Bethlehem; daughters, Roberta Daw of Salt Lake City, UT, and Heather Smith and her husband, Scott of Catasaqua; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Services: Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Friends may call 1 PM until time of Services, in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden Street, Bethlehem 18018. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com Contributions: to be announced.
