Violet Colyer Obituary
Violet May Colyer, 96, of Allentown, died Aug. 18, 2009 in Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Ralph Colyer, who died June 19, 1984. Violet was born April 2, 1913 in Newark, N.J., daughter of the late Joseph and Louisa (Weber) Kreideweis. Violet was the head bookkeeper for Gibraltar Savings & Loan, Newark, N.J. She was a member of Dryland United Church of Christ, Newburg. Survivors: She is survived by a daughter, Rev. Linda Leuser and her husband, Joseph, of Nazareth; sister, Elsie Riedel of West Orange, N.J.; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Ralph Colyer Jr., nine brothers and sisters. Services: at the convenience of the family. Buril, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Newark, N.J. The Reichel Funeral Home, Nazareth, is in charge of arrangements. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dryland U.C.C., 4415 Newburg Road, Nazareth, PA 18064.
