Paul Scherrer Obituary

Paul Scherrer Resident of San Carlos Age 80, passed peacefully in his home in San Carlos on March 11, 2013. Mr. Scherrer was born on January 23, 1933, in Switzerland. After emigrating to the United States Mr. Scherrer worked as a Technical and Sales Manager for Facit Data Procuts. He was a gymnast in both Switzerland and the United States and was a one time Gymnastics "All Around" Champion. Mr. Scherrer was an active member and past board member of the Swiss Gymnastics Club of San Francisco, supporting member of the Swiss Singing Society and member of both the Peninsula Swiss Club and Swiss Club Tell. During his leisure time Mr. Scherrer enjoyed attending Swiss music festivals and concerts. He was an avid Jass player and enjoyed traveling abroad. While at home he enjoyed relaxing in the garden and sharing a good meal with friends. A favorite pastime was watching soccer games and reading. Before his health failed he was an active person who took daily walks to Highland Park and participated in his favorite outdoor hobbies which including skiing, backpacking, tennis, and camping. Mr. Scherrer is survived by his fie Heidi Scherrer. He is further survived by his brother Erwin and sister-in-law Gislla, niece Karin, and nephew Markus and his wife Eva and their children.
