Joseph Revlock Obituary

Joseph Revlock, Sr., Age 90, of Ambler, PA, died on August 5, 2010 at Silverstream Nursing Home. He was the loving husband of Lois (Proctor) Revlock. Joseph was born in Shamokin, PA on July 5, 1920 to the late John and Anna (Demchak) Revlock. He served in the US Army during WWII as a Tech Sergeant where he specialized in water purification for the troops in New Guinea and Philippine. He graduated from Drexel University and the University of Oregon in Chemical Engineering and dedicated his professional life at Rohm and Haas Company for 34 years. Outside of work, he dedicated his time off to his family, taking them on many memorable trips across the country to visit the Proctors - his wife's family who has lived from California to British Columbia. He was a member of Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church in North Wales, PA, Eagles Club in Shamokin, PA and the Chem Club of Rohm and Haas. Joseph worked side by side with Lois on framing and matting her watercolors. He lived by the Aristotelian philosopher's position of moderation through his deeply held statement "Everything in moderation", which he carried through all walks of life. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 children: Joe Revlock (Beverly) of Philadelphia, PA, Theodore Revlock (Dawn) of San Francisco, CA, Michele Dean (Paul) of Colorado; 6 grandchildren: Gabrielle, Misha, Simon, Jeremy, Connor, Ryan. He was predeceased by 2 sisters: Helen Currie and Dorothy Menges. A Life Celebration gathering will be held by the family. Please contact Joe Revlock Jr. at [email protected] for the date and time.
