James Hall Obituary

James David Hall, 74, of Oliver Springs, graduated from his earthly home to his heavenly home with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015.
Mr. Hall was born Feb. 4, 1941 in Morgan County. He was a lifelong resident of Oliver Springs.
J.D. bravely served our country in the U.S. Navy. After he returned, J.D. worked as an operator for the city of Oak Ridge water plant. He was a member of Batley Baptist Church. J.D. was attending Kellytown Baptist Church in Oliver Springs and Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Wartburg. He was also a member of the Oliver Springs Omega Lodge #536.
James loved his Lord and Savior first and foremost. He cherished and loved his family and grandkids. He also enjoyed sports, golf and trout fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Daniel Hall; mother, Bertha Hall; and brothers, Charles Schubert and George Bray.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Hall of Oliver Springs; son, Dale Hall and wife April of Wartburg; daughter, Shelly Mullins and husband Travis of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Savannah and Isaiah Hall of Wartburg, Scott Cannon of Oliver Springs, Sarah Dayle and Gage Mullins of Oliver Springs; and a host of extended family, special friends from the lodge, and numerous friends.
The family received friends, Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at Premier Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. The funeral followed at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with preacher Josh Baldwin and Brother Brandon Peters officiating. Burial and graveside services were held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
