Near Freeman Obituary
DOBSON — Mr. Near Sherman Freeman, age 70, of Dobson, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 31, 1948, in Surry County. Mr. Freeman was a retired mechanical contractor and farmer. He is survived by his girlfriend, Mary Lou Lowe; the mother of his children, Brenda Edwards Allen; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Amber Freeman and Joel Freeman and Dena O'Neal; grandchildren, Hudson Freeman, Hayley Freeman Simmons, Seth Freeman, Tristyn Freeman and Nataly Freeman; great-grandchildren, Caleb Simmons, Violet Simmons and Olivia Freeman. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, John Sherman and Nettie Jane Mitchell Freeman. Visitation will be Thursday, October 18, 2018, from 1-2 p.m. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Moody-Davis Chapel with Ricky Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted. Arrangements are with Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson.
