Angela Kay Hargrave Hill passed away on September 22, 2023, in Gautier, MS with her devoted husband at her side.
She was born on December 10, 1968, in Mamou, Louisiana and in 1973 the family moved to Bunkie, Louisiana, which happens to be where she taught herself to drive a four-speed pickup truck, and where she graduated from Bunkie High School in 1987.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Jean LaFleur, and her grandparents Odilion and Ella Mae Hargrave, and Olipsey and Anna Jeansonne LaFleur.
Angela always had a smile on her face and never turned down the chance for an adventure whether it was a bike rally in Sturgis, an elk hunt in Colorado or hopping on a plane to another country. She enjoyed living on the water and cruising on the boat or motorcycle to anywhere near or far and she made friends wherever she landed. She was almost as passionate about cheering for the New Orleans Saints as she was about eating crawfish and playing the slots.
She worked for many years in the restaurant industry as she cared for her two children. She was involved in the pageant community as a participant, a mom, and a judge. After marrying Chuck in 2005, she started working at Pascagoula Sheet Metal and became involved in volunteer work with the Pascagoula Noon Lions Club.
Anyone who knew Angela understood that she was grateful for every day and for seeing the sky brighten as the sun peeked over the horizon every morning. This joy was only paled by her appreciation for seeing the same sun dip below the skyline as the last gasp of beauty before the end of the day.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Charles "Chuck" Hill, Sr.; two children, Dylan (Sarah) Solloway of Charlotte, North Carolina and Alexis (Joshua) Crouse of Gulfport, Mississippi; four stepdaughters, Stephanie Hill, Sunny Hill, Jessica Hill Collins, and Ana Sigalas; father, Joseph Charles "Shorty" Hargrave of Gonzales, LA; sister, Daphne Hargrave of Gonzales, LA; nieces, Laurielle (Colton) Dubroc and Sadie Ramil; nephews, Hunter and Jaidon Davis and Blaze Dimaio; cousins, Fran (Warren) Lajuanie, Claudia (Patrick) Bernard, Paula (Ronald "R.C.") Knight, Sheila (Glen) Badeaux, and Karen (Huey) Miller.
