Barbara Jenkinson Abercrombie

Barbara Jenkinson Abercrombie, 89, wife of the late Harold Paul Abercrombie, of Easley, SC, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Born in Los Angeles, CA, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Winifred Pearson Jenkinson.

Mrs. Abercrombie retired from Southern Weaving Company and was a charter member of St. Matthias Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Abercrombie is survived by sons, Don Abercrombie (April) of Clinton, TN, and Andy Abercrombie (Katie) of Chattanooga, TN; a son-in-law, Skip Smith of Easley; a brother, Don Jenkinson (Holly) of Lakewood, CA; ten grandchildren, Ashley Baird (Dan), Alicia Bray (Jon), Michael Abercrombie, Drew Abercrombie (Kelly), Aaron Smith (Liz), Lauren Joudeh, Kassie Daniels (Ian), Paul Abercrombie (Katie), Karen Ambrose (Daniel), and Daniel Abercrombie; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Kathy Smith; a brother, Tom Jenkinson; and a sister, Thelma Moyle.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the St. Matthias Lutheran Church on 501 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC. Mrs. Abercrombie will be interred at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the church.

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthias Lutheran Church.
