A Private Family burial was held at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Liberty, NC.
Bethany was the 8th of 9 children born to Mark and Laura Leake. She added much enjoyment and excitement to our home, along with her four sisters and four brothers whom she loved dearly. Bethany was especially drawn to the outdoors and was very active. Whether playing or working, she was usually barefoot. She loved running in the woods or on the beach and climbing trees, and if there was water, she would likely be in it. If not outside, she would often be found reading a good book, writing, drawing or painting. She did some beautiful work. She also very much loved people and would use her artistic talents to bless friends and family from time to time with a very pretty and sweet greeting card. Bethany also loved music and enjoyed playing violin.
She graduated from Rock Garden Academy, the Leake family home school, and was a quick and eager learner. After a year working in food service, she began her college career at Columbia International University, and graduated with a degree in English. While in college she worked for a landscaping company and graduated debt free. After graduation, she continued in the landscape business and also did some editing.
Bethany professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age and later was baptized. Through seasons of joy and trouble, victories and struggles, she continued to express her faith in Him, confident that because of His death on the cross in her place for her sins and His resurrection from the dead, she was forgiven and would live in eternal joy with her God and Savior.
Bethany will be missed greatly by her family and friends. We are so grateful for the years God blessed us with her presence in our lives.
