We are deeply saddened and brokenhearted as we announce the passing of Brian Anthony Mori,63 yrs old, St Petersburg, FL, who took his last breath, February 28, 2025, at home, surrounded by his beloved family.
Brian, with great devotion to his family, was the son (of the late) Rafael and Ana Mori, of Central Islip, NY. He is survived by siblings, Ralph, Fran, Rosie, and (the late) Annie. His son, John A., Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Brian is also survived by his wife of 25 years, Sue Mori (Suzanne Krafft). Stepdad to Jan and John. Abuelo to three granddaughters, that he adored. Godfather to Brandie Elberth.
Brian retired from Port Jefferson Free Library as Maintenance Manager 2022. He worked on several Golf courses in FL and NY as a greenskeeper/equipment operator and became a PGA Tour Volunteer.
Brian's passions include the love for children,animals, outdoors, landscaping and design, Baseball/Yankee Fan, and Golf with extensive knowledge of agrostology (scientific study of grass) and earned many types of certifications in both careers.
He loved Southern Rock, Lynard Skynyrd, and 70's Rock Bands, i.e.: The Who and Led Zepplin.
He was an avid Baseball and Golf memorabilia collector and has an impressive collection. He mastered and was very creative with matting and framing. Brian loved History, Martial Arts with Chinese Myths, Cowboys and Indians and could tell a story like no other. Brian also had a tremendous respect for members of the military, even though he himself was unable to join. He will be forever missed.
