Okeechobee Bruce Marshall "Booey" Jeffers died July 17, 2023. He was born November 25, 1950 in Fort Pierce, Florida to Joseph Lloyd Jeffers and Catherine Elizabeth (Dodd) Jeffers. He was a resident of Okeechobee for 53 years. He attended First Baptist Church. He was a member of FBC Levite Ministry. He enjoyed classic and muscle cars, audio and video equipment. He ran the sound and video for First Baptist Church for many years and he loved doing that.
Mr. Jeffers was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Lloyd Jeffers; and brother, Steven Lloyd Jeffers.
He is survived by his sons, Bruce "BJ" Jeffers, of Austin, TX and Joseph "Joey" Jeffers, of Round Rock, TX; daughter, Kayla Jeffers, of Orlando, FL; mother, Catherine Elizabeth Jeffers, of Okeechobee, FL; four grandchildren; sister, Sharon Frake, of Okeechobee, FL; and sister-in-law, Jan Jeffers, of Kansas City, MO.
Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2023 at Buxton and Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023 at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church, Pregnancy Center of Okeechobee, or Dunklin Memorial Camp.

All arrangements are entrusted to the direction and care of the Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home, 400 North Parrott Avenue, Okeechobee, Florida, 34972.

I met Bruce to getting my car worked on. He was the most honest and decent mechanic I've ever met. Always a nice guy. His kind are rare to find in the automotive repair industry. He loved the Lord and it showed.
