Burk Moore Obituary

Burk Moore
10/17/2002 - 12/27/2023
Midland - It is with profound sadness and disbelief that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Burk Arthur Moore, who departed this world far too soon on the morning of December 27th, 2023. Born on October 17, 2002 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Burk's journey on this earth left behind a legacy of joy, and a heartwarming, playful sense of humor that sprinkled sweetness into our lives. Burk was known for being a bit mischievous, but more so as a big-hearted son, brother, friend, nephew, grandchild, cousin and God loving soul whose fun-loving spirit, sweetness, and sentimental nature touched the lives all who were fortunate enough to know him. Burk brought a touch of delight to the ordinary moments of life. His tender-hearted nature and sweet spirit created a haven of love for all who crossed his path.
His family, Nia, David, and Georgia Moore invite friends and loved ones to a Celebration of Life on January 5th 2024 at 10 am. First Methodist Church Midland, 300 N. Main. The gathering will reflect Burk's whimsical spirit, shared stories, heartfelt reflections, and, undoubtedly, his impact on everyone's lives.
He is survived by his mother, Nia Moore, Father, David Moore, and Sister, Georgia Moore. His memory will forever be cherished by uncles Henry Burk, William Burk, and Dan Moore, aunt Ashley Burk, and Grandmother, Glenda Moore. He was adored by his cousins Mae, Tessa, and Nolan Burk. Burk was met in Heaven by his Grandfathers, George Moore and Jeff Burk, and Grandmother, Gale Vinson. Burk will be missed by many cherished family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider making a donation to an organization of your choice that supports youth. We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the dear friends that have been instrumental in helping coordinate, and their unending support during this difficult time, as well as First Methodist Church of Midland, Texas.
As we navigate the poignant emotions stirred by the loss of Burk, let us remember his fun-loving nature, dreamer's spirit, and sense of humor. May his soul find eternal peace and may the memories of his sweet spirit continue to warm our hearts.
Rest in joyous, dream-filled, and mischievously magical peace, dear Burk. We love you to infinity.

Burk and I have known each other since kindergarten. He was my brother from another mother I miss him like crazy already but I know he´s watching over me. He was so funny and so proud that I never got into the drugs. Every chance he got to talk to me it was always "stay wavy homie" and now I always will.

DAVID MOORE

I was blessed to be there with Burk from the day he was born. He was conceived and born of Love. His Mother Nia has always been his rock. Words can not describe the deep loss I am feeling. I would gladly change places with him. I thank God that he and his sister had an incredibly close relationship. He was loved by all and had a God given talent when it came to music. I will never forget the Christmas we bought him an electric guitar. He was playing music by ear 20 minutes after setting the guitar up. I pray that he is feeling the enormous amount of Love that everyone has expressed and by the support our family is receiving. I know that Burk is wrapped in a huge warm blanket of Love. I Thank God for all of you, especially his Mother, Nia, and his sister Georgia. The time for all of us is here, and now! It is time to listen to the voice that tells you to help a neighbor, friend, or complete stranger. It is time to give Love unconditionally to all we come into contact with. It is time to sharpen our swords and put on the armour of God. All Glory to God! Thank you Father for sharing Burk Arthur Moore with us.
