Carol Ann Clarke (nee Porges) was born December 18, 1967, in Oak Lawn, Illinois to the late Charles and Patricia Porges. During her youth and throughout most of high school Carol was a competitive figure skater. Carol received her teaching degree from the University of Illinois, later earning her Master's in Education from Wheaton College in 1994. She passed into the loving arms of Jesus on March 19, 2022, with her family by her side. Carol leaves behind Mark, her loving husband of 25 years, and their 10 children: Wesley, Elisabeth, Hudson, Rachel, Matthew, Eric, Isaac, Aiden, Amy, and Rose. In addition to caring for and homeschooling her children, those who were fortunate enough to meet Carol quickly realized she was a true Proverbs 31 woman. Everyone who met her saw her as a close confidant and bestie. Carol was more than just a pastor's wife; she was also the advisor and mentor to many of the women in her church, community, and untold others. Her sense of humor, sass, and contagious laughter will forever be treasured by her family and friends. Given her passion for the spread of the Gospel throughout the world, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Grace Bible Church World Mission Fund. Her sacrificial service to her church, family, and community will be part of her lasting legacy.

Carol was a dear friend who introduced me to the love of my life - my wife of 30 years, Diane. May God grant you all the peace that comes from knowing the One who said, "because I live, you also will live." God bless.
