"Cathleen Ann Chmiel Luthi, a vibrant soul who lived life with the rhythm of a dancer, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025. She entered this life on July 16, 1961, Cathleen brought light and love to those around her for 63 years, leaving behind a legacy woven with family, flowers, and fearless joy.
Cathleen was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Chmiel; her mother, Helen Chmiel; her brother, Larry Chmiel; and her lifelong friend, Brenda Wiener-McKnight. She now joins them in eternal rest, no doubt swaying to heavenly melodies.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry her spirit: her sister Jeannine Cooley and husband Kenny Watters; her brother Harry Chmiel and wife Denee Chmiel; her sister Susan Carter and husband Jerry; her daughter Michelle Luthi and husband Alvin Ramsey; her son Michael Luthi and wife Misty McMillian; her son Edward Luthi; and her daughter Karla Womack. Cathleen's memory will also live on through her nephews-Bryan Cooley, Anthony Cooley, Jaimie Cooley, Brayden Chmiel, and Caelen Chmiel-as well as her cherished grandchildren: Maclaya Toledo, Chloe Kirchner, Mason Chollett, Kaitlyn Luthi, Rashaun James, James Luthi Williams, Alana Tanton, and Carter Tanton. Her great-grandchildren, Lakelyn Toledo and Thaddeus Luthi, will grow up hearing stories of the woman who danced through life; as well as a host of other loving family and friends that will miss her dearly..
A florist by trade, Cathleen had a gift for nurturing beauty. She found peace outdoors, surrounded by her plants and the gentle music of windchimes. Whether tending her garden, warming by a bonfire, or basking on the beach with family and music, she lived with an unguarded heart. Cathleen danced like no one was watching-through struggles and triumphs alike-and on February 6, 2025, she danced her way to heaven, free and unburdened.
Cathleen's life was a testament to resilience and joy, and her family invites all who knew her to remember her with a smile, a song, or a twirl in her honor."
