Charles Wright Gayton, 86, died on August 24, 2024. Charles is proceeded in death by his parents, John and Gale Gayton, his two sisters, Phyllis Love and Patty Kinser, and his daughter Lynn Amann. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Janice Gayton, his two daughters, Christine Rice (Jay Duke) and Jennifer Hardy (Bo Hardy) and his two granddaughters, Rachel Rice and Charlotte Hardy.
Charles graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science and Capital University with a law degree. He was a practicing attorney in Columbus for many years.
Charles was known for being kind, generous, and a friend to all.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 6th at 4:30 at Crestview Presbyterian Church, 350 E. Tulane Rd. Calling hours will be from 4:00-4:30.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Charles’s name to the American Cancer Society.
