Michael "Mike" Anthony Alexander passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2025. Born on October 16, 1973, Mike was one of the most down-to-earth and genuine people anyone could meet. He carried a warm, magnetic spirit and a sense of humor that could light up even the toughest days.
A graduate of Independence High School, Mike was well-loved and widely known. He played football during his school years and was always popular, a natural leader with a gift for making others laugh. A true jokester at heart, he was known to break out into freestyle raps without warning-one of many ways he brought joy to those around him.
Mike went on to become a professional boxer, competing on the show The Contender, where he earned the nickname "Champ." His determination, discipline, and heart in the ring reflected the same qualities he brought into every area of his life.
Above all else, Mike loved his family. He was the cornerstone of their lives-lending strength, offering protection, and showing unwavering dedication. His greatest pride was being the father of his beautiful twin girls, Gianna and Giselle, whom he loved beyond measure. To his family and friends, he was a steady presence: a great father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his mother, Rhonda Alexander; his daughters, Gianna and Giselle Alexander; his sister, Theresa Alexander; his nephew, Devin Alexander; and many cousins and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his beloved dog Sunny, and his Uncle Larry.
Mike's legacy of love, laughter, strength, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
