Charles Freeman Wolcott (Charlie), 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the St. Francis Hospice facility in Titusville, Florida, with his daughter Mary at his side. Charlie was born in Swissvale, Pennsylvania, on September 8, 1930. He joined the Army in 1952 and served his tour of duty in Germany. Afterwards he worked for UNIVAC and was eventually sent to Mexico City, Mexico, where he met Maria del Carmen, the love of his life. They were married on June 13, 1958, in Mexico City. Charlie and Maria returned to the United States a few months later and lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and eventually Titusville, Florida. Charlie worked for 19 years at the Kennedy Space Center in the computer maintenance field, supporting the Apollo and Space Shuttle programs. Several years after Maria died, Charlie married Jackie Hendrix in 1998. They eventually lived in Orlando, where he worked for Publix for 10 years. For the past 4 ½ years, Charlie lived at Crescent Wood Senior Living Facility in Titusville. Charlie is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mildred; wife Maria; granddaughter Ellen Wolcott; sisters Mildred, Virginia, and Betty; wife Jackie; and nephew Tim Bryant. He is survived by daughter Mary Bair (Ken), sons Mike (Sheri), and Charlie (Myrna), grandsons Michael (Brianna), Benjamin, and Eli, sister-in-law Alicia (Tita) Salyer (Cuyler), and family friend Mark Shimei (Myrna). Funeral arrangements are made by North Brevard Funeral Home. Graveside services with full military honors at will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Francis Hospice in Titusville, Florida.
