Christine Walburn

Christine Walburn, age 98, of Suwanee, Georgia, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at her residence.
Celebration of Life services for Christine will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2023, beginning with a Family meet and greeting of guests from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by services starting at 3:00 p.m. in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. Internment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park, Peachtree Corners, Georgia following services.
Christine was born July 3, 1924, in Milan, Georgia, to the late Henry Reaves and the late Bertie Mae Horne Reaves; also preceding Christine in death was her beloved husband, Bill Walburn, her beloved son, John William Walburn Jr; and her grandson son, Lance Walburn, her brother Cleven Reeves; and her sister, Velita Barnes.
Christine was of the Baptist faith and a devout Christian who spent time reading her Bible and attending the Baptist Church until she was unable to travel. Before retiring Christine had a successful career in the Insurance industry. She loved being surrounded by her family, sewing, cooking, reading, planting and bird watching. She also was known for "bossing" everyone around! Christine enjoyed sitting at her kitchen table admiring her gardens and the landscape that her husband and son-in-law made beautiful for her. She was a "steal magnolia"and had no hesitation to invite you to her Birthday Parties – Oh, how she loved her birthday parties!
She is survived by her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Phil Wallace; daughter-in-law, June Walburn Bier and husband Jim Bier; beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Walburn, Mark Wallace and his wife Maddie, and Karin Wallace and her husband Ken Smith,; her nephews, Johnny, Gary, Glen Reaves and their wives and families, as well as a host of extended family and dear friends.
