Daniel Russell Fowler, 79, of Florence Street, Spartanburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center, surrounded by his loving wife and nieces and nephews.
Daniel was born in Spartanburg on October 8, 1942, a son of the late Maudie Inez Dunagan Fowler and David Russell Fowler. He was the husband of Gail Scruggs Fowler having celebrated 51 years of marriage. He retired from John Dritz and Sons and from B.M.G. He was a Baptist and had served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife Gail, he was also survived by a niece, Teri R Walker and her husband Rick, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a sister, Martha Waldrop.
Visitation will be held 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 29th at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman and a memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM with Rev. Terrell Dillingham officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Spartanburg Fire Department, 8767 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, S.C. 29316.
