Darrell passed away on August 10, 2024 after battling Leukemia.
Darrell is going to be deeply missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Hazel; and his children, Herman, Erich (Stacy), Emmelie (Norm), and Matt (Melissa). He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Abbigail, Vyctoria, Ricky (Maisee), Selena, Tyler, Emily, Jacob, and Alex; and by great-grandson, Peyton. His dog, Bubba, and cat, Lady, will miss him everyday.
Darrell will be remembered for his stories, jokes, one-liners, and his love of football and golf. He loved people and was willing to help anyone who needed it. Darrell will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Community Christian Home for their exceptional care of Darrell during his final days.
Funeral service 3:30 PM Sunday, August 18 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home (Lino Lakes), 7050 Lake Dr. (County Hwy 23). Visitation from 2:00 - 3:30 PM at the funeral home. Following the service, we invite everyone to share food and memories at the American Legion, 355 W. Broadway, Forest Lake.
Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
