It's with great sadness and a heavy heart we inform you of the passing of David Comeau. David's love for his family and friends has no end.
David had many great accomplishments threw-out his life; a graduate of Bentley University and proudly served in the United States Navy just to name a few. If he could tell you today, his greatest accomplishment was marrying the love of his life Eleanor and raising his daughter Michelle. My brother Christopher and myself are honored to have him help raise us into the men we are today. David's values, compassion, love and humor has been passed on threw to his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
David and Eleanor had a piece of glass in their home that said "U, is half of US". We take comfort knowing he has joined his wife and daughter once again. It was a great honor to have him live with us in his final years. Seeing the joy he had spending time with his great-grandchildren, is what true happiness is. Jayden and Eleanor "Ella", love their Great Grampy very much and he will be well missed.
In David's final days, Christopher told him, his future Great Grandson (due in April), will carry-on David's name as his middle name, Matthias David Smith. David was so proud and happy be honored in that way.
David is survived by his grandchildren Jason and his Wife Krista Edsall, Christopher and his Wife Victoria Smith, his great-grandchildren Jayden and Eleanor Edsall and soon to arrive Matthias David Smith.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from Noon to 2:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. David will be laid to rest beside his Wife Eleanor in Sarasota National Cemetery at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory can be made to an organization near and dear to his heart, Phoenix for Children, online at: https://phoenixforchildreninc.org/
